Successful Heavy Cargo Transportation in Lithuania by Baltkonta UAB
On February 24, Baltkonta UAB successfully launched a large-scale transportation project. A 200-ton transformer was being transported over a 645 km route on Lithuanian roads, with the estimated delivery to final destination by the end of March – beginning of April.
For this challenging operation, a modular trailer with 24 axles and two powerful trucks was used to ensure safe and efficient transport. The team of Baltkonta was responsible for organizing all logistics tasks and coordinating the entire project, including inspection of 38 bridges, entire route modification works (130 road signs/traffic and streel lights/barriers dismantling), road widening and compaction project and works in 4 crossroads, handling operations at the port and loading the transformer onto the vessel.
