Advanced Ballast Water Treatment System installed in The Fleet of Limarko Group
Limarko Shipping Company AB has signed contracts with Western Baltic Engineering and Vakarų vamzdynų sistemos (BLRT Grupp). The entire fleet of Limarko Group is going to be upgraded on a contractual basis. In time, advanced ballast water treatment systems will be installed in the engine rooms of all eight ships of the fleet.
Prior to that, the engine rooms of each ship will be thoroughly scanned in 3D and the most suitable areas for water treatment equipment will be selected. The design and installation of pipeline and equipment will follow shortly afterwards.
Containership Hanse Fortune is the first in line to be upgraded. The entire fleet of Limarko Group is going to be modernized by 2023.
